THINK Cloud for Government 2015, 10 February 2015, London, UK
Public sector cloud computing is dynamic, challenging, fast-moving, and constantly evolving. Back for its fourth year, THINK Cloud for Government is the annual event that presents all the latest information, best practice, opinion and case studies, with thought leadership from government officials, IT and procurement professionals, academics, independent analysts, and leading cloud vendors, from the largest corporations to the nimblest, most innovative SMEs.
The event takes place on February 10th at the Business design Centre in Islington, London.
Around 300-350 public sector buyers, procurement heads and senior IT decision makers and influencers are expected to attend the event.
Why is cloud important in 2015?
2015 promises to be the start of the next phase of public sector cloud adoption.
This is the year in which 50 per cent of new IT spending in central government alone is intended to move to the cloud. With the clock ticking down on the old-style multi-year, multibillion-pound government computing contracts, there are more and more opportunities for a commodity cloud purchasing model to become the norm across all branches of the public sector. That can mean a major saving on costs and time, and a major increase in efficiency and flexibility.
